Back in 2012 I was asked to create the art work for a local band’s EP that was going to be released online but also have a limited run of 100 hard copies that had to be cheap and resonably easy to put together.
I came up with the idea of creating a simple stencil to apply to the 100 black covers to give it a handmade DIY feel.
For the online release the band’s idea was to incorporate the name of the EP with a crown motif to signify the main theme of the song Egomania. “The song was all about self-importance and I thought that the crown represented that in a one-above-the-rest sort of way.”
The design was later applied to T-Shirts..
